Is renewing early worth it?
.gay goes from $31.41 to $36.00 a year at Porkbun on 2027-04-01 — 178 days away. ICANN’s Base Registry Agreement (§2.10(b)) obliges the registry to sell your registrar up to ten years at the pre-increase price right up to that moment, so the lock is real rather than a loophole.
This is a prepayment, not a discount.
